Start with a short query. You do not need to send the full manuscript until we ask for it.

What to send

Working title and category
A one-page synopsis — ending included
The opening pages (about 3,000 words), pasted or attached
A few lines about you, and where the book stands
If it's been published before: where, and when

Your work stays yours

You keep the copyright. Sending us a manuscript grants Belcemo Books no rights in it.
We read submissions in confidence and do not share them outside Belcemo.
We do not use submitted manuscripts to train machine-learning systems.
Ask us to delete your submission and we will.
Nothing is agreed until it is written down and signed by both of us.

What happens next

You get a receipt
When you submit you get a reference number and a short code calculated from each file you sent. You can produce the same code from your own copy, so either of us can show exactly what reached us. Keep it.
We read it
The whole submission, sample included.
We reply either way
If it is not for us, we say so.
If it's a fit, we talk
We ask for the full manuscript, and we put the terms in writing before anything else happens.
