What we hold, and how we handle it.

What we collect

The information you enter in the submission form: your name and email address, an optional website, the working title, category, word count and status of the book, your synopsis, any sample text, your confirmation that you hold the rights, and any files you attach — up to five, and 20 MB in total.

Where it is held

In private storage that is not publicly accessible and is not linked from this site. Submissions are not forwarded to third parties, placed in shared drives, or passed through analytics or marketing tools.

Your receipt

On submitting you receive a reference, a timestamp, and a SHA-256 checksum of each file you sent, so that either of us can confirm later what reached us. A copy of the receipt is stored with your submission. It holds nothing about you beyond what you sent us.

Who has access

Belcemo Books. Submissions are read in confidence and are not shared outside the company. We do not sell or license them, and we do not use submitted manuscripts to train machine-learning systems.

How long we keep it

For as long as we are considering the book, and after that only where there is a continuing reason — an active discussion, or an agreement between us. On request we delete a submission together with its attachments.

Correspondence

Email you send us, and anything attached to it, is held on the same terms.

Access, correction and deletion

Write to info@belcemo.com, quoting your submission reference if you have one. No reason is required.

Withdrawal

A submission may be withdrawn at any time before an agreement is signed. Submitting a manuscript places you under no obligation.

Changes to this notice

We revise this notice when our practices change, and update the date below.
